By using Phone Tracker, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to operate the app:

• Precise Location (GPS): Your real-time GPS coordinates, including latitude, longitude, and address. Location is collected in the foreground and background when the app is active, solely to share with your connected partner.
• Device Information: Device name, brand, and manufacturer model, used to identify your device in the paired connection.
• Battery Status: Current battery level and charging state, shared with your partner as part of the phone status feature.
• Network Connectivity: Wi-Fi and mobile data connection status, shared with your partner as part of the phone status feature.
• Notification Data: In-app alerts such as SOS, "On My Way", and "I'm Safe" messages sent between you and your partner. These are stored locally on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely for the following purposes:

• To display your real-time location to your paired partner and vice versa.
• To share phone status (battery, connectivity, ringing mode) with your partner.
• To send and receive safety alerts (SOS, On My Way, I'm Safe) between partners.
• To store location history locally on your device for your own reference.
• To maintain the pairing session between you and your partner securely.
• To send push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for partner events.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the app's core location-sharing functionality.

3. Data Sharing

Your data is shared only with the partner phone you explicitly pair with inside the app. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties except for the following trusted service providers that help us operate the app:

• Google Firebase (FCM & Crashlytics): Used for push notifications and crash reporting. Firebase's privacy policy applies: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google Maps SDK: Used to render the map and resolve addresses from coordinates. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
• Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements in the free version of the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers. Google's privacy policy applies.
• Google Play Billing: Used to process in-app subscription purchases. Billing data is handled entirely by Google.

4. Data Storage & Retention

• Location history and notification history are stored locally on your device using a Room (SQLite) database. This data is not uploaded to any cloud server controlled by us.
• Location data transmitted between partners passes through our API server (phonetrackersfree.com) to deliver real-time updates. We do not permanently store location history on our servers.
• Pairing credentials (partner ID and access token) are stored in your device's SharedPreferences and are cleared when you disconnect from your partner.
• You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the app or using the disconnect option within the app.

5. Permissions We Request

Phone Tracker requires the following Android permissions to function:

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: To obtain your GPS coordinates.
• ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION: To continue sharing location when the app is in the background.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION: To run a persistent foreground service for continuous location tracking.
• INTERNET: To send and receive location and status data with your partner.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: To restart background services after a device reboot.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To show push notifications for partner events (Android 13+).

All permissions are used exclusively for the app's stated purpose. You can revoke permissions at any time in your device Settings, though this will limit app functionality.

6. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Location and status data transmitted between devices is sent over HTTPS. Your pairing access token is unique per session and is required for any API request. We use Firebase Crashlytics (in release builds) to detect and fix stability issues, which does not include personally identifiable information.

7. Children's Privacy

Phone Tracker is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for location collection at any time (via device permissions).
• Disconnect your partner pairing, which removes shared data from our server.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Phone Tracker after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
